Beef Macaroni Soup

If you’re on the hunt for a comforting and satisfying soup that doesn’t require hours of cooking, Beef and Macaroni is your answer. I remember enjoying this soup as a kid, even though I used to say I didn’t like any soup. The hearty beef and rich tomato flavors, combined with tender macaroni, make it irresistible for kids and adults too. What’s great about this soup is that it doesn’t need a long simmer to develop its flavor. In just about thirty minutes, you’ll have a delicious meal ready to go. The process is straightforward and doesn’t involve a lot of ingredients.

You start by browning onions, garlic, and ground beef in a pot. Then, you add beef broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, basil, oregano, thyme, and bay leaves. This mixture simmers until it thickens and the flavors meld, which takes about ten minutes.

Next, you incorporate the macaroni. While you can cook it separately and stir it in, I prefer adding it directly to the soup to cook with it. This method lets the pasta absorb some of the rich, beefy tomato broth, adding extra flavor to each bite.

The result is a classic and uncomplicated soup, perfect for any age and any occasion.
