Reviving Damaged Geraniums
If your geraniums have already suffered rain damage, here are some steps you can take to try and revive them:
- Inspect for root rot: Carefully remove the plant from the pot and examine the roots. If they are mushy or black, they may be rotting.
- Remove damaged parts: Cut away any rotten or diseased parts of the roots and stems.
- Repot: Repot the plant in fresh, well-draining soil.
- Treat for fungal diseases: Apply a fungicide to the plant if you suspect a fungal infection.
- Provide proper care: Ensure the plant receives adequate sunlight, water, and nutrients.
With proper care and attention, you can help your geraniums recover from rain damage and thrive once again.
