Have you ever considered putting a roll of toilet paper in the refrigerator? Many people probably haven’t. But now, I’m going to explain why it’s worth trying.
You Will Need:
- 2 tablespoons of baking soda
- Water
- A roll of toilet paper
Process:
- Take a bowl and pour 2 tablespoons of baking soda into it.
- Add enough water to the baking soda to create a thick paste.
- Soak the roll of toilet paper in this mixture until it’s fully saturated.
- Place the soaked roll in the refrigerator.
Results: The roll of toilet paper will absorb unpleasant odors in the refrigerator, leaving it smelling fresher. This simple trick is an effective and low-cost way to keep your fridge smelling clean.
Add a Little Water and Stir Until It Becomes Liquid
Apply the baking soda solution to a roll of toilet paper.
Since the water is quickly absorbed by the paper, apply the baking soda with your finger and dampen it again with a bit of water.
Turn the roll and repeat the procedure on the other side.
As the baking soda dries, it will start to crumble, so it’s best to place the paper on a plate or in a suitable container. If the roll takes up too much space, cut it in half.
Why This Is Necessary:
Foods stored in the refrigerator can create unpleasant odors. Placing a roll of toilet paper in the refrigerator with baking soda will neutralize these odors. In refrigerators with a No Frost function, the paper also absorbs excess moisture.
Alternative Method:
If you have a frost-free refrigerator, pour the baking soda onto a saucer and place it in the refrigerator. You can also simply open a box of baking soda and put it inside.
If space in your refrigerator is limited, tear a small piece of toilet paper, sprinkle it with baking soda, wrap it in an envelope, and seal the edge with tape. Make several of these squares and place them in the refrigerator.
This method is ideal for eliminating unpleasant odors in the fridge. Replace the roll of toilet paper or baking soda squares periodically to maintain the effect.
