Gourmet Grilled Cheese with Shrimp and Garlic Bread

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the garlic bread:
    • Combine softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
    • Spread generously on one side of each bread slice.
  2. Prepare the shrimp:
    • Marinate shrimp in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
    • Grill or sauté until cooked through.
  3. Assemble the grilled cheese:
    • Layer slices of Raclette cheese on one slice of garlic bread.
    • Top with grilled shrimp.
    • Cover with another slice of garlic bread.
  4. Cook:
    • Cook in a skillet with butter until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. Make the sauce:
    • Combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, honey, and smoked paprika for a tangy and sweet sauce.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the grilled cheese hot with the sauce on the side.

Tips:

  • Bread: Use a hearty bread like sourdough or ciabatta for extra flavor.
  • Cheese: Experiment with different cheeses like Gruyère, fontina, or cheddar.
  • Shrimp: For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the marinade.
  • Sauce: Adjust the sweetness and spiciness of the sauce to your taste.
