My daughter wants to put me in a nursing home to take my money. I decided to give her a life lesson

My daughter Anne seems to have lost her mind entirely, and I feel compelled to share this with my dear friends. According to her, I should be consigned to a nursing home like an old piece of furniture just because I’m 90 years old. There’s no place ready for me yet, and I intend to live a long life.

“When I bluntly told her, ‘If you won’t care for me, I’ll take care of myself,’ it greatly upset her! I now realize her plan all along was to take my money. “‘Your mother has chosen to manage her own affairs and assets,’ the lawyer informed Anne. ‘She has legally allocated her funds and property to a trust with explicit instructions to ensure her comfort and care, free from interference.’

“Anne’s fury was evident on her flushed face. ‘I can’t believe this! Mother, you can’t treat me like this!’

“‘I can, and I have,’ I replied, meeting her gaze squarely. ‘I thought you were going to abandon me and take my money. From now on, everything will be on my terms, even after I’m gone, and you won’t see a dime.’

“Anne was left speechless, her plans thwarted by my unexpected action. Mrs. Thompson calmly explained that I had legally protected my assets to ensure they were used solely for my care, not for Anne’s personal gain.

“Realizing she had underestimated me, Anne stormed out in anger, leaving me with a mix of relief and sadness. It’s painful to witness my own child driven by greed to such lengths.
