6 Vegetables and Herbs You Can Grow Indoors

  • Shallots (Green Onions): Leave about 3 cm of the root attached to a shallot, place it in a glass of water, and ensure it stays moist. Within a few days, green onions will be ready for use.
  • Basil: Place basil sprigs that are at least 12 cm long in a glass of water in full sun. Once the stems reach about 6 cm, transfer them to soil for continuous basil growth.
  • Onions: Plant the bottom end of an onion directly in a pot or outdoor soil, ensuring it’s watered as needed. Soon, you’ll have fresh onions ready for harvesting.

These methods not only help save money but also provide a convenient way to enjoy fresh produce right from your own home.
